Soundcloud Plays are coming in Significantly Slower

on Fri Jan 26, 2018 6:18 am
OS: Which operating system are you using? Mac OS 10.13.2

OS location: Laptop

Premium or Basic: Premium User

Error: The plays for the Soundcloud bot are significantly slower/ non-existent. Before the latest update, I could run the bot for 20 minutes and have 100 plays when using the default settings. Now when I run the bot, it can run for 20 mins and give almost no plays to the song.

Reproducibility: Yes, this error be reproduced? This error is reproduced by opening using the SoundCloud play+ bot. Loading in the same song in 3 different tabs, allowing the bot to run for at least 15 minutes then refreshing the page on the song. I've done this three times and two times there were <10 new plays on the song and one time there was no new plays added.

How long: I've been experiencing this since I did the latest update on Tuesday 1/23/17

Hi we will look into this issue more closely but it is always recommended that you use private proxies. Although we do provide quality ones, they can get overused and lose their quality over time until we replace them. With private proxies, you wont be sharing them with anyone else.

Again we will look into this to see if it's a functionality error or not, it may be.

When using private proxies, what is the best format to put them in?

I'm a noob when it comes to private proxies, but I put in the I.P addresses with a comma between the I.P addresses.
When I go to run the bot through the private proxies, it doesn't seem to work. I'm assuming its because I'm putting the proxies in through the wrong format.

Would it be possble to give an example?

Of course thanks for asking. If you have proxy 10.10.20.20 on port 1122 and 30.30.40.40 on port 3344 you will put them in the text box like so

Code:

10.10.20.20:1122
30.30.40.40:3344

We do not support proxies with passwords at the moment. But you can still find custom proxies that do not require passwords, which will be better than having the same ones that all other somiibo users are using.

Thanks! I was able to add some custom proxies and use them on the soundcloud bot.
Last two questions. Do the proxies need to be HTTPS to work? or can they can they be Http?
Do you all have a recommended # of proxies to use in order to get fast results?

For best results, use HTTPS. And it's best to use as many as possible to diversify the inflow of plays.

Thanks for the help. Would SOCKS5 proxies work as well? or are they not supported/https is still the #1 recommended?

HTTPS are the only supported right now but we're looking to add support for other protocols in the future
